Signia Silk Charge&Go IX instant-fit CIC hearing aids in black and mocha

Signia Silk Charge&Go IX

Signia Silk Charge&Go IX is a tiny, nearly invisible hearing aid that sits completely in the ear canal (CIC). It is ready to wear, so it can be fitted with soft, comfortable EarWear 3.0 sleeves on the day of your fitting, without waiting for custom earmolds. A custom mold is also an option. Signia calls it the world’s only ready-to-wear rechargeable CIC.

Silk is built on Signia’s Integrated Xperience (IX) platform. Its Binaural OneMic Directionality 2.0 helps it focus on speech from the front in noisy places. NYC Hearing Associates audiologists will help you decide whether Silk is the right match for your hearing loss, ear canals, and lifestyle.

Why patients choose Silk Charge&Go IX

  • Discreet by design: small and snug, with a soft textured surface that avoids reflections. It comes in two colors, mocha and black.
  • Ready to wear: an instant fit with EarWear 3.0 sleeves, or a custom mold if you prefer.
  • Binaural OneMic Directionality 2.0 is designed to focus on speech from the front in noisy settings.
  • Rechargeable all-day power, with a pocket-size charging case that has a built-in power bank and can itself be charged wirelessly (Qi).
  • Easy control with the Signia App or the miniPocket™ remote control.
  • eWindScreen and Auto EchoShield are among the IX features listed for Silk.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know Signia Silk Charge&Go IX is the right hearing aid for me?

Silk is a strong option if discretion matters most to you and you’d like a rechargeable hearing aid that’s ready to wear. Whether it suits you depends on your hearing loss, the size and shape of your ear canals, and whether you need features like Bluetooth streaming. We’ll compare Silk with other devices after your hearing evaluation.

Do I need a hearing test before getting hearing aids?

Yes. Hearing aids should be selected and programmed from a comprehensive hearing evaluation. We provide testing at our NYC and Garden City offices.

How is Silk Charge&Go IX different from Insio Charge&Go IX?

Both are rechargeable completely-in-canal hearing aids on Signia’s IX platform. Silk is an instant-fit device that can be worn with ready-made EarWear sleeves (or a custom mold), so you can start wearing it right away. Insio Charge&Go IX is custom-made from an impression of your ear. Your audiologist will help you choose based on comfort, fit, and what matters most to you.

Is Signia Silk Charge&Go IX rechargeable?

Yes. Silk Charge&Go IX has a rechargeable battery for all-day hearing. Its pocket-size charging case has a built-in power bank for charging on the go, and the case can be charged wirelessly (Qi). We’ll review charging and daily care at your fitting.

Can I connect Silk Charge&Go IX to my phone?

You can adjust Silk from your phone with the Signia App, or with the small miniPocket™ remote. Signia doesn’t list Bluetooth audio streaming for Silk, so if you want phone calls or music streamed straight to your hearing aids, we’ll talk through other Signia styles that offer it.

What happens at a hearing aid fitting?

We choose the right EarWear sleeve size (or take impressions for a custom mold), program Silk to your hearing prescription, check comfort and how securely it sits, and show you how to insert, remove, clean, and charge it. Follow-up visits fine-tune the fit.

Are hearing aids covered by insurance?

Some commercial plans do cover hearing aids, but Medicare does not. We are happy to look into your insurance so you know exactly what is covered and whether anything would be out of pocket. We also offer leasing and financing with low monthly payments if that is a better fit. Book an appointment and we will get started, or upload your insurance card so we can check your benefits before you come in.
