Widex Allure AI RIC R D rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid in Tech Black, front and side view

Widex Allure AI RIC with Clarity Boost

Widex Allure AI RIC with Clarity Boost is Widex’s newest rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid. For everyday listening, its W1 chip gives you the natural, rich sound Widex is known for. When a restaurant, party, or family gathering gets loud, you can turn on the Clarity Boost program with a simple tap on the hearing aid or in the app. Clarity Boost uses AI to make speech clearer in noise.

Because you decide when to use it, you get Widex’s natural sound most of the time and extra help only when you want it. NYC Hearing Associates audiologists will help you decide whether Allure AI RIC is the right match for your hearing loss and lifestyle.

Why patients choose Allure AI RIC

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know Widex Allure AI RIC is the right hearing aid for me?

Allure AI RIC is a strong option if you love natural-sounding hearing but want extra help understanding speech in noisy places, and you’d like a rechargeable hearing aid that streams from your phone. Whether it suits you depends on your hearing loss, your ears, and your daily routine. We’ll compare it with other devices after your hearing evaluation.

Do I need a hearing test before getting hearing aids?

Yes. Hearing aids should be selected and programmed from a comprehensive hearing evaluation. We provide testing at our NYC and Garden City offices.

What is Clarity Boost, and how do I turn it on?

Clarity Boost is a listening program that uses a dedicated AI co-processor to make speech clearer when it’s noisy around you, while keeping you aware of your surroundings. You turn it on yourself with a single tap on the hearing aid or in the Widex Allure app, and switch back to Widex’s everyday natural sound when things quiet down.

How is Allure AI RIC different from the standard Widex Allure RIC?

Both are rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aids on Widex’s Allure platform and W1 chip, and they share the same modern design. Allure AI RIC adds a dedicated AI co-processor and the Clarity Boost program for extra help in noise. Your audiologist will help you decide which one fits your needs.

Is Widex Allure AI RIC rechargeable?

Yes. With the Standard Charger, a 4-hour charge gives you a full day of use, and a 30-minute charge gives you about 4 hours. You can also choose the Charge n Clean, which dries and sanitizes your hearing aids while they charge, or the Portable Charger for charging on the go. We’ll review charging and daily care at your fitting.

Can I stream phone calls, music, and TV to Allure AI RIC?

Yes. Allure AI RIC streams calls, music, and podcasts directly from compatible iPhone and Android devices over Bluetooth. A built-in telecoil connects you to hearing loop systems in public venues, and the Widex TV Play 2 streams TV sound straight to your hearing aids. It also has Bluetooth LE Audio built in, and Widex plans to add Auracast™ broadcast audio support in a future software and app update.

Can Widex Allure help with tinnitus?

Widex offers Zen Therapy for tinnitus support with Allure hearing aids. Your audiologist can set up Zen listening programs during your fitting, with support in the Widex Allure app. If tinnitus bothers you, tell us at your evaluation so we can include it in your plan.

Are hearing aids covered by insurance?

Some commercial plans do cover hearing aids, but Medicare does not. We are happy to look into your insurance so you know exactly what is covered and whether anything would be out of pocket. We also offer leasing and financing with low monthly payments if that is a better fit. Book an appointment and we will get started, or upload your insurance card so we can check your benefits before you come in.
